Mission

The Taiwan Jewish Community is dedicated to creating a warm and meaningful environment for learning about and living Judaism, celebrating Jewish traditions in ways responsive to modern men and women; to worship together and nourish our spirituality: to educate our children in Judaism’s rich heritage and its contemporary significance; to care for others with humility and compassion; and to provide a center for sharing with others in the social joys of good fellowship.

Values

1. To maintain a place of prayer for its members, who are either residents in Taiwan or non-member visitors of the Jewish faith, and to fill the religious needs of the Jewish community in Taiwan.

2. To provide its members, their children and other members of their families with religious instructions.

3. To provide its members with social, cultural, and recreational needs.

4. To generally provide its members with mutual help, benefit and welfare in an efficient, organized, and compassionate manner.

5. To provide, where appropriate, its members and non-members alike with charitable activities to their benefit.
